My Story
A compassionate, understanding and authentic therapist
I'm Jess (pronouns: she/her) and here is my journey of becoming a therapist.
My own professional counselling journey began once I truly understood my own life experiences, and recognised my desire to support those in their time of need through a therapeutic role. I am a qualified Psychotherapist/Counsellor (terminology is interchangeable), specialising in therapeutic delivery for children, young people, and families, having completed a counselling Masters at the University of Northampton. I have many years experience supporting the behavioural, social, emotional and mental health difficulties of individuals from both a counselling and mentoring perspective. Additionally, I have worked with a wide range of specialist needs in an educational setting for over 10 years.
I pride myself on my ability to build a warm and comfortable relationship with my clients and see this as central to my success in assisting their personal growth. I deliver confidential, professional and non-judgemental support for every individual.
I am a Registered Member MBACP (Accred) of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical guidelines and code of conduct, including frequent engagement in continued professional development. I also hold a clean DBS.
